AI toolsAI tools are fine for clean-up: noise reduction, transcription, upscaling and masking. AI-generated shots, voices or automatic editing are not allowed.
EntriesOne entry per editor. You can replace it until submissions close.
JudgingBlind ratings on creativity, pacing, storytelling, effects, overall quality. Raters must watch at least 80% of your edit first and can’t see your name or other scores. An entry needs 6 ratings to be scored.
ScoringScores are weighted by how many ratings an edit has, so a single 5-star rating can’t top the board. Ratings from other entrants that are 1.5 stars or more below everyone else’s are left out.
ResultsResults lock on Sat 31 Oct. Scores stay hidden until then.
RightsLakeside Sound Festival keeps the rights to the footage, which is licensed for this challenge only. You keep the rights to your edit and can show it in your portfolio.
